We have a few things left to do like decide on some album art, but there will be info on aquiring a demo CD up here very shortly. One sure-fire method though is talking to any of us! Hello there anyone who cares

The Apnea release is getting closer and closer. Songs are almost all mastered, and we’ve started working on the CD sleeves/cases. We will be selling them to anyone who wants them for nearly nothing quite soon! So if you want one, just say so, and we will go to hell and back to get it to you. Also, I, Alex MacAskill, am releasing my own album quite soon! I just got a great concept for it and have been inspired to put together an entire mixtape-style project, with as much music as I can possibly fit on one CD. I’m working on ideas really hard, staying up late nights writing lyrics and ideas out and spending all day coming up with music. I will keep you updated with that as well. And Apnea, select portions of Apnea, and friends of Apnea will all appear on the record as well! But anyway, have a good one, who ever reads these.

Recording Underway!

Hello, long time no see. Big big news, Apnea spent the last weekend getting all our songs properly recorded! The recording part is all done, now we just wait on the mixing and mastering, we review, it goes back for one more round of M&M, and then, we release it to you! We will have 4 songs done, and hope to go in to get another 4 done over the Christmas break. Keep your eyes on the site, because in a matter of days/weeks, Apnea’s music will be yours for the taking!

Hello hello everyone, Alex here again. Just sitting here real hot and sweaty in the summer sun, listening to some good old Hank Williams. I got a bit of news for everyone. We have a show coming up, this friday at Paul’s Hall. I hope everyone can make it out to see us and a few other great bands we’re sharing the stage with that night. It’s guaranteed to be a good time. And hey, I heard that there might even be a little bit of Apnea merch for sale. At the low low cost of $o.

But I’m not done folks, one more tidbit of good news. We’re hitting the studios real soon. We’ve got a couple of weekends booked to finally get our music recorded and available to everyone who wants it. Keep your eyes on the MUSIC page, I promise the “Coming Soon…” will be gone shortly.

Well I hope to see most of you this Friday! Have a good one guys. I think it’s time for some Jimmie Rodgers now.

1. Apnea has another gig coming up! August 24th at Paul’s Hall. The show is from 7:30-10:30pm. And keep your eyes on the “Shows” section of the site, because more shows are in the works!

Hello hello hello, Alex again. and its 5:30am. Why am I up so early you ask? I’m not. I’m up late. Can’t sleep! Too busy designing t-shirts, posters, stencils, just working, working, working. Merch Baby, Merch!

Alex here. Today is a momentous day. For today is the day when the first piece of Apnea merchandise is available to the public. A hand-silkscreened, and designed by the band t-shirt. There will be more to come, don’t worry if you don’t like this design. I have all the silkscreening equipment at my house so making new designs for shirts can be done quickly and easily. A new page is added called “Merch” where you will be able to see the merchandise and find out how to get it. We are a band who likes to be good to the fans we have, (that’s right, all 2 of them) so expect to see good offers, prices, and over all good products in the future! Cheers

HOLY GUACAMOLE

WE WON! Apnea placed first in the Beaver Bank Battle of the Bands! We couldn’t believe it. Competition was tough, there were a lot of good bands there. But thanks to family, friends, and fans, we managed. Everyone else there was so good. It was equal parts practice, fanbase, and luck. We’re so stoked about winning though, we’re hoping on using the money for a new PA system which will open up so many oppertunities for us to play anywhere we want, anytime we want. But it’s about time I get some sleep. It’s been a long long day. Keep it real.

B.O.T.B!!

SO! Today is the big day… technically. It’s 1:26am after all, and in about 14 hours we’ll be getting ready to give the Battle Of The Bands our best. You will probably see a few more posts about it in the next few days. It’s a big deal to us! A chance to get the cash for a P.A. which opens up so many opportunities. It would help us so much if anyone reading this could get to the Beaverbank Battle Of The Bands on June 27th, at 5pm (Apnea performs around 8:30) at the Beaverbank Community Centre (1583 Beaver Bank Road), and vote Apnea! The crowd gets to vote on who wins this battle and as sad as it makes me to say it, it’s probably going to be more of a popularity contest than a true talent contest. So please help us out! We need this cash. Thanks so much!
